The music and sfx of the game
Music
I start working with Martín Vrillaud and Emanuel Casas at the beginning of the SenscapeJam they are from Rosario, Argentina, we had an instant connection with the taste of music so it was easy to go on.
So it´s a Jam and we had to move quickly, so the idea was simple, a horror game that you are an entity and move things, make noise, and freak an old guy with a terrific back story.
We have a few places and make each ambient was the idea. The style of the art it´s a voxel low-polish so we need deep immersive music to keep it the realism and the unknown.
We start with inspiring music ideas and came The Shinning and Gravity.
They start with some sketches of the main theme and nail it the first time. Excellent I have to mention again is a Jam and we have to move so quickly that it was a relief to know we have in the same way and get the first ambient music in a few days.
The SFX
That was another chapter we have a lot of sounds, but we need a special part for the old guy, yelling, talking, crying, and a lot more. Actually, our mother tongue wasn't English so it came to the spirit of the sims, and well why not make that kind of sound to simulate talking and other stuff.
